When I was divorcing, there was this moment of recognition. This moment of "how did I get here?" And it wasn't so much about the marriage, but more so a look at myself.
I had this career where I was strong and respected and passionate. And the woman I was in that career completely resonated with my values and the woman I see myself as. So who was this stranger? The one in a relationship that did not speak to these values. And moving forward, how did I want to show up in my life? And beyond that, how did I want to show up in my relationships, romantic or otherwise? And probably most importantly, what were my boundaries, what did I deserve, and who would I allow to ride along with me in this beautiful life?
Peace of mind. Intuition. Feeling into my gratitude. Living life instead of existing in it. There was so much to learn. And the journey has been SO worth it!
I'm here to help you uncover the new, and better-than-ever, YOU as you venture through and beyond this moment.
In my career as a high school English teacher for almost 30 years, I've created a warm and safe space for blooming adults. I believe I have done much the same as a mom to my three children: a teenage boy and two girls in their twenties. I have parented in a way that has allowed each to navigate their own path and find their own meaning in this life.
For me, life has not been without tribulations. I lost my dad when I was 14 and my mom when I was 28. I navigated the dissolution of a difficult marriage in my forties. And there have been other challenges along the way. But somewhere, somehow, early in my life, I became resilient — without putting up walls. I have always leaned into vulnerability. And over the last several years I have found a greater sense of gratitude and an understanding of the tools that keep me happy, thriving, optimistic, and living in an abundance mindset.
I feel so blessed to have learned, over the course of it all, that my experiences do not define me. They simply take up residence within me as little parts of my story that make me the badass I am today.
As a coach, my goal is to pay it forward. I want to help other women to clarify, grow, evolve, and thrive.
I believe that every individual has the potential to live a fulfilling and purposeful life. My approach is centered around helping my clients cultivate self-awareness, identify their values and goals, and create actionable steps toward achieving them. I am committed to providing a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients to explore their beliefs, stories, and realities and work toward their desired outcomes.
I am here to be your guide, your cheerleader, your thinking and accountability partner, and a support on your journey.

Per the ICF (International Coaching Federation), "Coaching is partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential."
"We do not learn from experience...we learn from reflecting on experience." - John Dewey
A coach is a strategic, accountability partner who helps us to think about the way we think. By acting as a mirror, the coach reflects our thoughts and feelings back to us and encourages clarity and the ability to see ourselves in a new way. Once we are able to see and reflect in this way, we glean new insights and confidence and utilize our own resourcefulness as we journey to promote change.
SOMEONE WHO
Initially, I liked the idea of the tree because of the connection to the Tree of Life. But the more I thought about it, the more it began to take even more meaningful shape.
Trees have roots, and roots represent strength and stability which is what we may be seeking as we venture into the coaching journey. They also represent growth and the choice we make to invest in our own growth in this process.
Finally is John Dewey's idea that "in the suspense of uncertainty, we metaphorically climb a tree; we try to find some standpoint from which we may survey additional facts and, getting a more commanding view of the situation, may decide how the facts stand related to one another."
The reflective inquiry in a coaching scenario enables us to climb a tree from which we can look down and see ourselves from a new vantage point. This new vantage point in turn results in a broader understanding of a situation and allows for a new perspective and, hence, new solutions.
